I like this series much more than the residual of the Investigation Discovery channel'south shows.
For one thing, few, if any, of the cases shown have been featured on TV shows before, probably because they happened in Colorado Springs. A regular viewer of I.D. shows and other network documentaries (twenty/xx, 48 Hours, etc.) presently sees the same cases featured, again and again. And over again.
Just the main reason I like this series is that Joe Kenda's onscreen persona is and then enjoyable. With his aged-in-identify face - I'd bet the rent he hasn't had cosmetic surgery - and his wry delivery of his lines, he's a hoot. A guy you wish lived side by side door, who'd come over to your cookouts and tell you some stories over a few beers. He'due south the calm only relentless kind of cop y'all'd want on the instance if your loved 1 went missing. Even if he p*ssed you off, you'd somehow have to know he'd work the case every bit difficult as he could. And he'd piece of work it smart.
Maybe that's not how it actually was. But that's certainly what I recollect after watching two seasons of this bear witness. The new season starts this week, and I'thousand looking forward to information technology.

Honey this testify. Kenda is funny, even though the subject matter is not. The actor who plays the young Kenda is extremely handsome and looks aught like the existent one, lol. Information technology can exist somewhat graphic and gory, then I don't think it would be appropriate for children or the nice. It shows the horrible things some people are capable of doing to their swain human beings.
I demand to expect upwardly where this prove is filmed. It is supposed to take place in Colorado, just information technology seems like the bulk of reenactment actors speak with a Southern accent?
Highly recommend.

As an ID fan; this is my favorite show. Kenda puts a flake of amusement into some really awful stories.... what I don't like is that Amazon has you pay for ID channel; and so gives you only a few seasons.... afterward you are seriously hooked on a show! Oh, hateful! I don't want to pay $xx for ONE flavor.... even though I really desire to encounter information technology! Drat! This is ane of the better ID channel shows!

We started watching this series on Hulu. We became huge fans right away. They only have Flavour 3 through five on Hulu; so nosotros purchased Flavour 2 from Amazon Video. Episode 5 volition non buffer, will non play at all, saying something nearly bandwidth. Nonetheless, the episodes before and later v play perfectly. I cannot find anything in their help section about 1 episode video trouble. Dang it, we paid for all the episodes and that is what we desire! Bluster over.

I wish we didn't have to purchase this series. However, it is an extremely good serial. Commencement learned of Lt. Joe Kenda when channel surfing and found the program on ID. If this bear witness has a cult following, you could probably count me in. He is so affair of fact, talks of script from memory and you can tell that the focus is on finding the perpetrators, rather than on titillating scenarios of the crime(s). That is very refreshing. If you become enough interest to make his series "Prime", it would be appreciated.

I purchased these for my Fiancee, but savage in love watching a long side of them. Kenda has a quirky, dark, bleak way well-nigh him from beingness on the force for and then many years, and its interesting the style he weaves his personality into the tales of true criminal offense.

This is an excellent testify, for those who similar this kind of stuff. There are so many truthful law-breaking shows to watch now, a virtual explosion of them lately. But somehow in that sea of law-breaking shows this one stands out. Joe Kenda is interesting. He borders on being a fleck smug and arrogant sometimes, but doesn't quite cross the line and you can't help but like him. Every story is equally wild every bit the concluding, couldn't stop watching them. I hope there's another season of this show.

I accept become addicted to this evidence! The actor that portrays Joe Kenda is wonderful, and Joe Kenda'south has a tremondous dry out sense of humor that perfectly fits the prove. Of all the "detective" shows, or similiar types, this is by far my favorite. It is well directed, extrememly interesting, and I learn rubber tips from Joe!
